Following an unprecedented closed season, that has seen what is always a busy time for clubs, made more turbulent than ever, Palace Ladies return to pre-season training tonight, determined to put everything in place for the new campaign, and focus on entertaining and successful football; something that remains the most important part of The Palace Ladies DNA. In a brief statement, ahead of the start of the pre-season, Club Chairman, Richard Spokes commented,
With all the issues off the pitch, it is just good for the staff and players to get back into the swing of things and add to the planning that has already been undertaken. Everyone is hugely positive as we look forwards and we have some ambitious plans for the season.
We are set to make some exciting announcements about high-profile additions to our squad and staff ahead of the new season, thanks to the support of Crystal Palace FC. We are still considering all options after our Tier Two application was rejected, for reasons that have still not been satisfactorily explained, but despite this disappointment we remain extremely positive about the season ahead. Watch out for some eye-catching squad news imminently.
We would like to extend our sincere thanks to all those who have shown such incredible support in recent weeks and are very much looking forward to enjoying an exciting season with these loyal and formidable fans”.
Palace Ladies will be publishing pre-season friendly fixtures in the next week or two. Watch this site and social media for details. It is great to be back!!
