Crystal Palace Ladles FC has always worked to be something other than just a means of football being played. We truly believe that football can transcend communities and culture and can be used a power for good, well beyond the obvious physical benefits of involvement in sport.
As a club we appreciate the role in society that we play. Our efforts to represent girls and women knows no bounds, and it is this enthusiasm for positivity, that we ask everyone associated with us, to harness and use to the maximum. As well as seeking to offer our players additional, social, career and life opportunities, we are all too aware of how we can help others. And this, is why we have adopted a charity partner.
Sadly, every one of us knows of someone who has probably been affected by a life limiting illness, in one way or another. Often, it may be friends of friends, or people we know, but with a club the size of ours, it is a sad fact that someone closer to us will be more, personally affected. As a club with hundreds of young women at our heart, we wanted to do something special, something that we can all relate to, something that we know will make a difference.
And that's why.......
We are very proud to be supporting Teens Unite (Fighting Cancer). This amazing charity is helping teens and young people deal with the issues that arise from the diagnosis of cancer and other life limiting illnesses.
Seven teenagers a day are diagnosed with cancer in the UK and 10,000 young people are currently living with a life limiting illness. Through Teens Unite, they can meet others of their age in a similar situation to themselves and gain strength from realising that they are not alone in their battle.
Teens Unite organises confidence building and motivational workshops and days out from art sessions and pamper days to career and CV writing days where they can interact with others, restore their self-esteem and look towards a future beyond illness.
So please, do what you can to help this amazing charity and show that being a part of Crystal Palace Ladies FC is about more than just football.
Your support can be shown at our charity events throughout the season, and through our Teens Unite Just Giving page at
If you are still not sure, take a few minutes to watch this video about a young lady from Bromley called Sadie. Just a few minutes of your time will make a massive difference.
Watch and you will know why we are so proud to support Teens Unite.
Thank you for your support.
