WADDON WANDERERS 0 v 17 CRYSTAL PALACE LADIES BLUES FC

The Blues broke their all time record victory score with an emphatic win over Waddon Wanderers.
Having had no game for two weeks due to late call offs, the Blues knew this would be a vital game before the Christmas break in order for the girls to get some much needed game time.

The Blues dominated the first half playing some incredible passing football which Waddon couldn't keep up with and goals from Ellie, Keeley (2) and Natalie (3) gave the girls a comfortable half time lead.

Manager Joe Fazzino was able to make six changes to the team during the break but all of the changes didn't disrupt the team at all and very soon more goals began to fly into the Waddon net.

The biggest cheer of the afternoon came when popular defender Hera scored her first ever goal for the team. Hera is known for her strong defending and lung bursting breaks down the right wing, one of which found her in the Waddon box and a thumping shot from Hera flew into the far corner of the net.

Further second half goals from Sarah (5), Caloe (4) and Amy saw the Blues home to a very comfortable victory.

After the game Joe commented "I'm so proud of my girls as they have registered an eighth straight league win that leaves us in a great position going into the break. There will be far tougher tests to come than today but the team played some breathtaking stuff today and as long as we continue to all believe in the same dream, then 2015 could be a great year for the Blues".

A special mention for Amani who had one of her best games ever in a Blues shirt, playing simple two touch football and playing passes with vision beyond her young years.

Also Waddon deserve a mention as despite the scoreline they kept going right to the end and were a credit to their club and to girls football in general.
