PALACE LADIES UNVEIL UNIQUE NEW AWAY KIT

4 weeks ago By Richard Spokes

Circumstances And The Help Of CPFC Bring About A Stunning Away Kit

We are immensely proud to announce the launch of our new 2017-18 away kit.
The all white kit with the required splashes of red and blue will be worn, this season, by The Ladies as their away kit. The launch coincides with the release of the CPFC third kit and comes about for The Ladies following issues raised by The FA over the standard CPFC black away kit; this based on colour clashes with match officials, who all currently wear black - not the much more colourful variants seen in The Premier League.

Testament to the ever-developing family connection with the men's club, the folk at Selhurst Park were quick to respond and arranged for The Ladies to secure use of the white kit In very short time. The kit, pictured, was finished and launched this week in conjunction with the men's side of The Club, at an event held at the Beckenham based training ground, that saw stars of both men's and women's join forces.

At the launch of the kit, Chairman Richard Spokes explained,
"With kit designs kept under wraps until quite late on, the issue of the use of a black kit for our away games came at the last minute. As would be expected, especially those of us who are Palace fans, the idea of a black kit with the red and blue, was really appealing. However, this was not the case at The FA, and despite pleading a good case and even offering to provide different coloured refs shirts, we were advised that the chosen away kit was not viable. This left us with a major issue and the need for some quick work. Thanks to a huge effort from Adam Chapman at CPFC Commercial and MIke Pink, Head of Merchandising at Selhurst Park, we were able to bring this option to life."

The white kit, carrying the same design elements as the 2017-18 home kit also highlights the continued sponsorship of CPFC club partner, Utilita for a second season.

"We are all very proud of the continued work with Utilita, and to be honest, the combination of the white kit and the Utilita brand design is perfect. With their logo that fades blue to red, it looks like it was made to be on the front of the Palace shirt. Everyone should be very proud of a kit that may have been born out of enforced changes, but is likely to go down in club history as one of the best."

Palace Ladies will have to wait for the first use of the new kit, however, as this weekend's away game at Chichester, sees the host's home kit carry slightly too much white.

"So, this week will be in the traditional red and blue, but you can be assured that there are a whole load of players keen to wear this stunning new kit at the first opportunity!"
