A SUMMARY OF THE SQUAD AND WHAT IT MEANS TO THEM TO BE A PART OF CPLFC
_____________________________________________________________________________________________This
This extremely talented squad of players has this summer been on tour to San Francisco USA.
They stayed at the famous Santa Clara University, where they were coached by American Coaches for six hours a day over the first four days. They then played five matches against strong opposition, winning two, drawing one and losing two.
During the trip, a real bond developed amongst the team which has continued into the season, a real sense of unity and a strong bond that will bode well for their future development together. An attitude of ‘All for one and one for all’ has certainly developed over the summer.
They are all very aware that this was down to Crystal Palace Ladies FC and Charles Baylis their Manager and that being part of this
wonderful club was the vehicle for this to happen.
There are a number of Crystal Palace FC season ticket holders within the team and so the feeling of pulling on the shirt of the club they support is very important to them. They also see the club as an excellent route to playing senior football, for which a number of them wish to do.
Manager: Charles Bayliss has been with this group of girls since 2008. Having joined CPLFC that year. Like most teams he has seen a number of changes over the seasons. Only five of the original squad are part of the team this season. Probably the biggest change came before the start of 2011/12 season, when 12 new faces arrived.
Coach: Kenny Cricklesford Has been involved since the start of this season, Kenny had previously been working with the Millwall Centre of Excellence Under 17's. He is the holder of a UEFA B licence (Coaching) and has played at the highest level in Amateur Football .
Goalkeeping Coach: Bobby Aspinall has been working with the girls for two years, Bobby keeps goal himself as part of the Tooting and Mitcham set up.

FUN DAY AT THE PALACE FOR ALL THE GIRLS
Date: 6thOctober 2013
Crystal Palace under 18 Girls FC 10 – 0 NPL Youth
Venue: Crystal Palace Arena
Palace girls were far too strong for NPL, who were unable to threaten in 10- 0 win. Only minutes into the game and some enterprising passing by the Palace team ends with Rinsola cutting inside and scoring 1-0 and this was followed by another shot from Rinnie, 2-0. Palace continued to pile on the pressure and Rinsola passed to Kirsty, who found Toni on the edge of the box, who struck the ball beautifully into the net 3-0. The pressure continued with their goal keeper making several great saves. The girls were getting plenty of space and Rinsola found herself unmarked in the area 4-0 Rinnie’s hat-trick and not long after Aiyana found Kirsty, who scored 5-0.
Half-time 5-0
Charles changed everything around at half-time putting the defensive line of Amaal, Rebecca, Monika, Toni and Lydia into midfield. However it was not long before we scored again. A long throw from Becky to Jenna who passed to Emily 6-0. It continued with Amaal taking a shot from outside the box into the bottom corner 7-0. Larissa had very little to do in the Palace goal and everything that came through was picked up by Brook and Aiyana.
Going forward Lydia found the back of the net to be ruled off-side and Monika battled away, pushing into their penalty area.
It was Brook who found the net next. Once again, a shot from outside the area 8-0. Jenna was now playing at centre back and Aiyana pushed up front, who scored from another shot from outside the box, 9-0. However it was our defensive duo of Monika and Toni who had the last word, Monika passing to Toni, who scored her second of the game 10-0.
Full-time 10-0
Squad: Amaal, Aiyana, Brook, Emily, Jenna, Kirsty, Larissa, Lydia, Monika, Rebecca, Rinsola, Toni.
Next game: Away at AFC Wimbledon – 13thOctober – 10.30 am kick-off
Crowd: 24
Manager's Comment: Great to see us maintaining our standards. This week will be a big test for the girls and our mental approach and attitude needs to be right and everyone must be on their game from the start.
