After a successful turnout at our trials in May and keeping in conjunction with Cplfc policy of trying to offer and encourage girls to play football we decided that we had enough girls at our trials to form a new U11s team and give those girls the opportunity to join Cplfc
We now have 2 x U11s teams playing in the Surrey Women and Girls Football League and we wish the newly formed U11s Blues along with Joe the Manager and their highly qualified Coaches James and Marvin all the best for the coming season.

MOLE VALLEY GIRLS FC 2 v 0 CRYSTAL PALACE LADIES FC BLUES
The Blues lost their final game of the season but put up a valiant fight against the champions elect Mole Valley.
Mole Valley took the lead early on in the game with an outstanding goal after a cross from the right was converted with a crisp volley. The Blues had a chance when good work from Syd, Amani and Keeley created space for Ellie but her shot from the edge of the box just went wide. Mole Valley kept pressing forward but some resolute defending from Hera and Millie kept them out. H/T Mole Valley 1 Blues 0 Mole Valley doubled their lead shortly after the break but that didn't stop the Blues competing for every ball and challenge. Chances were at a premium against a very tight Mole Valley defence but the Blues kept trying. While the Blues rode their luck on occasions the score line was kept down mainly due to the outstanding work between the posts of Maisie, who kept goal with a maturity beyond her years. So at the end of a long but thoroughly enjoyable first season of football for The Blues, all that is left for me to do is thank Joe , James and Marvin for all their hard work during the season and all of the girls for providing us parents with something to get up for on a Sunday morning. Whether they have won or lost they have always played the game in the right spirit which is really good to see. Roll on next season!!
SUNDAY 6 APRIL 2025
FLEET TOWN GIRLS FC REDS 0 v 3 CRYSTAL PALACE LADIES FC BLUES
The Blues returned to third place in the league following a convincing 3-0 victory over Fleet. The Blues made a quick start to the game and were soon playing some of their best football of the season with measured passing and great teamwork which created chance after chance. The hard working Amani had the first good chance following excellent work down the right by Martha and Keeley. It was top scorer Keeley who put the Blues ahead with one of her trademark finishes shortly after and the lead nearly doubled following an Ellie free kick which the Fleet keeper did well to push over the bar. H/T Fleet 0 Blues 1 The second half followed the pattern of the first with wave after wave of Blues attacks. Keeley had a shot that dipped just over the bar then dragged a shot past the post at the end of a length of pitch passing moves involving some intricate passing from the girls. It didn't take Keeley too much longer to double the lead and she earned a well deserved hat trick moments later to put the Blues out of touch. To their credit Fleet pushed forward late in the game, pulling a brilliant diving save out of the otherwise redundant Maisie. It was a truly wonderful team performance where every girl played to their potential. Finally a mention to the Fleet keeper whose bravery and commitment in goal saved Fleet on so many different occasions.
