After winning the U11 league in the 2011/12 season there was a lot of interest in this age group and 25 girls attended our trials in May 2012.
It was decided by John Harney and Alex Meehan to form a 2nd side to play in the U13 age group for season 2012/13. This decision was based on the number of girls wishing to play for Cplfc and the ethos of the club to offer football to as many girls as possible.
This decision led to the formation of the Cplfc U12s Blues who competed in the Surrey Women and Girls Football League U12s First division for the season 2011/13.
New players have been added to the squad for the 2013/14 season and the U13s Blues will continue to be coached by Manager Richard Gent who will be assisted by Assistant Coaches Chantelle Beharie and Nikki Vale.
We wish the U13s Blues every success for the 2013/14 season

U12s Blue Latest Match Reports
GPR 2 - CPLFC U12 Blues 7 (League game).
It was a bright, if chilly, morning at the Goldsworth Park Rec yesterday. It was good to have coach richard back and well.
From the off Palace looked the better side, passing in midfield and running through the GPR defence, so it was no surprise when Honor put them 1-0 up. Palace applied good pressure but just failed to put the ball into the net on several occassions. However lax defending enabled GPR to break through, against the run of play, to equalise and then again to go 2-1 up. At half time it looked like Palace could play better but might not win.
Everything changed in the second half. The Palace defence tightened up and Palace then dominated the game. Rachel scored a hat trick - two solo runs where she went past multiple defenders and a bizarre goal from her corner kick which just trickled over the line whilst both teams stood watching the ball!
Maaike was unlucky not to get onto the scoresheet. Her shot went in but she was just offside. Bessey scored two including a great volley fired from neraly the half way line and Honor scored a second too.
Lauren had another stirling match in goal and saved a penalty awarded for handball. Also worthy of special mention in defence was Stephanie who chased down the attacking GPR players like a terrier.
All in all a great game for Palace with the whole team showing a great inmprovement on the beginning of the season.
